Features

No Place for the Living - Passive

Any feature or action that will heal HP requires spending a Hope (or an additional Hope if it already costs Hope).

What does it feel like to try to heal in a place so antithetical to life?

Centuries of Knowledge - Passive

PCs may investigate the library and laboratory within the Ossuary for information about the Necromancer’s plans or anything related to magic and local history with a Knowledge (19) roll.

  • Any failure = You get vague information, but mark Stress from the horrific accounts.
  • Success with Fear = You get interesting information but you’ll have to figure out how it’s relevant.
  • Success with Hope = You get information relevant to your question.
  • Critical = You get useful information and gain advantage on Knowledge rolls related to the Necromancer and their minions.

What are the names of the tomes? What project is the necromancer working on and what does it communicate about their plans?

Aura of Death - Action (2)

Once per scene, roll 1d4. Each undead within a Far distance of the Necromancer may clear that many Stress and/or HP ( ex. on a roll of a 2, each undead could clear 2 HP, 2 Stress, or 1 HP and 1 Stress).

How does their renewed vigor manifest? Do they look more lifelike or paradoxically are they more decayed but vigorous?

They Just Keep Coming! - Action - Fear

Spend a Fear to summon 1d6 Tier 4 Zombie minions, 2 Perfected Zombies, or a Tier 4 Zombie Horde. They appear at a close distance.

Who were these people before they became the necromancer’s pawns? What vestiges of those lives remain for the heroes to see?
