Aetheris are humanoids who possess radiant auras and glowing eyes. They are the descendants of celestials from the Hallows Above.

Description

Aetheris are humanoids most easily recognized by their wings and sacred markings. They are the descendants of angels from the Hallows Above. Aetheris are typically 5 to 7 feet tall, and some may have elongated limbs. They often have vibrantly colored eyes, hair, and skin, though their coloring can include earth tones and pastels. Many members of this ancestry are born with sacred markings—such as glowing sigils or intricate patterns of lines and symbols—but all aetheris develop them as they mature. These symbols change as they age, often because of prophecies, revelations, and divine guidance from the Hallows Above.

All aetheris have a “hallowed aura” that can manifest voluntarily, such as when they invoke their power, or involuntarily, such as when they feel elation or other strong emotions. When they call forth this radiance, their eyes and bodies might glow, their markings might become more prominent or shift across their skin, or they might have a halo appear atop or around their head. These halos are as unique as a fingerprint and may share similarities with other family members. Perhaps due to their angelic lineage, aetheris usually live for 350 years, and they retain a youthful glow even as they age.
